A turn in the road

OK- we've already hit a snag.  The boat we chartered for the first week has canceled.  Amazingly 9 of the original 16 for this first leg are still going with the hope of hiring another boat once we arrive.  The trip stories and adventure has already started and I haven't left home yet!  So we've gone from 16 people willing to fly to the other side of the world to visit uninhabited islands to 10 people (we had one add-on) willing to fly to the other side of the world to visit uninhabited islands AND we don't yet have a boat.  Now that is hard-core!
